Exam

Exam started from last Saturday. The day, I took an exam. it was easy for me. So I have confidence that I will get good score. Yesterday, I studied with my friend in the restaurant, Joyful. The restaurant opens 24 hours, so we had studied form 11:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. However, we eat French fries and ice cream. And we ordered drink bar. We studied international society and Japan and reading of Japanese literature. We were very sleepy, but we studied hard. At seven, we went out of the restaurant and went to convenience store and went to school. First period, we took exam of international society and Japan. The question which we studied hard was in the question. So I could solve the question. After we finished the exam, we studied reading of Japanese literature at the dining room. At the lunch time, I ate curry and rice and my friend ate hashed rice. third period, there was an exam of reading of Japanese literature. The exam was very difficult for me, so I’m worried if I will get the credit. After I finished the exam, I went to the library. I wanted to use a computer, but computer rooms were filled. So I didn’t use it. tomorrow, I will have an exam at fourth period. So I will do my best!

Spring Vacation

In spring vacation, I will go home stay in Australia. My host mother is teacher of Arabic. She has a daughter. And she has many students as me in her home. According to data, she likes to cook for students. And she also likes walking, reading and cycling. When I saw the data, I became more looking forward to go to home stay. I’m not good at speaking English, so I decided to go to home stay. Because I thought that if I talk with native English speakers, I became able to speak English better. But I think that if I talk with them actively, it is not meaning to go to home stay. I am passive by nature, so I want to change my character. I think that my sense of value and how to think will be change considerably. It costs a lot of many to go home stay, but I will be able to better experience than such money. I thank for my parents and my aunt. They gave money to me. I will do my best in Australia and I will become able to speak English very frequently. I will enjoy my life in Australia!

Exam!

Today, I took first exam in autumn at third period. The exam was introduction of Japanese history. We could refer to every book or text, so I could solve all questions. So I’m relieved now. In the afternoon, I will have a part-time job, so I couldn’t study today. But I will study in the library with my friend tomorrow. I have to study very hard because almost exam are maybe very difficult. I want to get good score, so I will study hard everyday! And after the span of exam, I will do what I want to do now. Of course I will study English. I will do my best for exam.

Yesterday and Today

Yesterday, I went to Jorry Pasta where my junior works with my friends. I had cream pasta. It was very delicious. My friend gave me green tea cake. It also was good. My senior serviced us, so we could eat them cheaper. After dinner, my friend took me to my house. Then I slept a bit. I got up and wrote many book reviews. I could finish them. I went to bed at three thirty a.m. And I got up at eight. I went to school for writing class. It was last class. I like writing teacher Mr. Beaufait! This evening, there will club activity. We will go to Aso temple. Maybe it is very very cold in Aso. But I’m looking forward to it. I will go out soon. Tomorrow, I will have classes afternoon. I will enjoy today’s club activity.

BR 2-18:The Owl And The Pussycat

The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat. They took some honey and plenty of money., wrapped up in a five note. The Owl looked up to the stars above and sang to a small guitar. Owl proposed to Pussycat. But he don’t know how he get a ring. They sailed away for year and a day. They got to land where the Bong-tree grows. And there in the wood a piggy-wig stood. He had a ring at the end of his nose. Owl asked “Are you willing, to sell for one shilling, your ring?” “I will” said the piggy. So they took it away and lived a happy life.

I thought Owl was kind from the words “Are you willing, to sell for one shilling, your ring?”(Edward, 2009, p.32) He wanted to give a ring to Pussycat.

BR 2-17:The Lion And The Mouse

Lion was fast asleep. Something tickled his nose. It was a little mouse. Lion woke up. Lion was angry with the mouse. And he would eat the mouse. The mouse was scared and said “Don’t kill me, please” Lion laughed and didn’t eat. The next day, lion walked into a trap. The mouse heard him. She nibbled through the ropes and lion was free. “I’m sorry, little mouse.” said Lion. “I was wrong. Even little friends can be good friends.”

I impressed the words “Even little friends can be good friends.”(Mairi, 2009, p.22) They are big and small animal, but they can be good friends.

There was once a boy called Dick Whittington. He lived on his own in the country. He had no money, so he looked for work. One morning, he was recommended that he went to London. He heard the streets are made of gold in London. He walked for miles and miles. But when he arrived in London, the streets weren’t made of gold at all. He looked for work and asked some people. But no one wanted help. Dick needed somewhere to spend the night. He curled up on the steps of a big house and fell asleep. The next morning, the man said “come inside”. He got a job. He was taken the very top of the house. Suddenly a mouse squeezed out of a hole in the floorboards followed by another and another. He couldn’t sleep. ”I must get rid of them,” he thought. A week later, the man gave Dick his first ever wages. t He couldn’t wait to go out and spend his money. Then he suddenly saw just what he needed. “A cat will keep those noisy mice away” thought Dick. He brought the biggest at from and ran home. That night, the mice appeared as usual. Cat chased the mice back into their holes. He could get a good night’s sleep.

I think the man is very kind. He said “Come inside”(Russell, 2009, p.13) to Dick. Dick could live a good life thanks to the man.

BR 2-15:Percy And The Pirates

Percy Pike and his family lived on a farm by the sea. They spent all day working in their tiny field. But there was never enough to eat. One day, Percy came up with a plan. He made a fishing rod. He thought he would catch some fish and surprise everyone. He put a worm on his hook and started to fish. He waited and waited, but fish didn’t catch. So he fell asleep. Hours later, he woke up with wet feet. He was sinking fast. Just then, he saw a ship. “Help!” he yelled. The ship helped Percy. But the ship was pirate. Percy was obliged to be pirate. The next day, the pirates spotted a ship called the Crimson cuttlefish. They got treasure from the crimson Cuttlefish. That night, captain found that his crews stole treasures. So he threw them into the sea where there were sharks. Next day, the captain spotted a ship called The Red Herring. “I’ll keep watch. You look for treasure.” said captain. Then he found a map. He gave it to captain. They set off soon. “Let me at the treasure,” cried captain, grabbing the shovel. He dug down and down. Finally he couldn’t get out from the hole. Percy laughed and run away. He brought treasures to his town. Everyone was do grateful, they gave Percy a big reward.

I was glad because finally, “the Pike family was never hungry again.”(Russell, 2007, p. 47) Percy was intelligence!

This is a story about Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox and a deep, dark well. Brer rabbit was running very fast. Brer Fox was chasing him. “I’m going to eat you up,” growled Brer Fox. Brer Rabbit ran faster. He came to s deep, dark well. “I can hide here,” he thought. He jumped into the bucket. But the bucket started to fall. The bucket fell and fell. “How will I get out?” thought Brer Rabbit. Brer Fox said “Found you!” from above. “You can’t hide from me,” he growled. “I’m not hiding. I’m fishing.” said Brer rabbit. “There are some huge fish here.” He made a splashing sound with his paw. “I’ve got one. And another!” cried Brer Rabbit. “Come down here” he added. Brer Fox loved fish. He forgot about eating Brer Rabbit. He turned the handle. The bucket came up. Brer Rabbit hopped out. And Brer Fox got in. He fell down. Brer Rabbit laughed. “Where are the fish?” growled Brer Fox. “In the river,” said Brer rabbit. It took Brer Fox a very long time to climb out.

I thought it was pity for fox. Rabbit tricked fox. But I thought rabbit was intelligence when he said “There are some huge fish here.”(Louie, 2009, p.13)

Once, there was a little penguin called Perry. Perry and his family lived at the South Pole. He saw something yummy inside. But he was too cold to eat it. Perry went to see his grandpa. “I need to get warm, Grandpa,” he said. “Try skating,” said Grandpa. “That will warm you up.” Perry went to the frozen lake. He skated up and down, and round and round. He skated all morning. “Are you warm now?” “No,” said Perry. Perry went to see his grandma. “I need to get warm, Grandma,” he said. “Try swimming.” said Grandma. “That will warm you up.” Perry dived into the water. He swam up and down, and round and round same as his skating. He swam all afternoon. “Are you warm now?” “No,” said Perry. Perry went to see his sister, Pippi. And he asked same question. Pippi recommended sliding down the hill. Perry went to the top of hill. He slid all the way same as skating and swimming. He slid around all evening. “Are you warm now?” everyone asked. “Yes, I’m boiling,” said Perry. He opened the box. “Now I can enjoy this ice cream.” He said.

Perry was cute penguin. At last, the words “Now I can enjoy this ice ream”(Russel, 2009, p.25) is very cute and lovely. I want to eat ice cream!

This is a story about Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox and a prickly blackberry bush. Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox were enemies. One day, Brer Fox set a trap. Brer rabbit went the trap. He wriggled and wriggled, but he was stuck. “Got you!” growled Brer Fox. “Now I’m going to eat you all up. “Hurray!” said Brer Rabbit. “Do you want to be eaten?” “Oh yes. Fry me, boil me, and eat me in a pie!” “But please…Don’t throw me in the blackberry bush!” Brer Fox smiled a nasty smile. He picked up Brer rabbit. Then he threw him through the air. Brer rabbit landed right in the middle of the blackberry bush. Brer rabbit laughed. He ran deeper into the dark and prickly blackberry bush.

I thought Brer Fox was very stupid. He really threw Brer rabbit into the blackberry bush after Brer rabbit said “But please…Don’t throw me in the blackberry bush!” (Louise, 2009, p.13)

There was a crooked man. He walked a crooked mile and he found a crooked sixpence on a crooked stile. He bought a crooked cat which caught a crooked mouse. They all lived together in a little crooked house. The crooked man was hungry. So he cooked a crooked fish. His crooked cat could smell it and she snatched it off the dish. The crooked man was angry. He chased his cat outside. He couldn’t see her anymore. She had found a place to hide. The man smelled something fishy. So he followed where it led across his crooked garden into his crooked shed. There upon a sack snuggled up against each other were thirteen hungry kittens. And there was crooked mother.

I thought crooked cat was kind for her children from “There upon a sack snuggled up against each other were thirteen hungry kittens and their kind but crooked mother.” (Russell, 2010, p.25) She is good mother, but it is bad to steal fish.

Ceremony

January 3rd
There was ceremony of adult in Amakusa. I got up at six thirty and made up face. I was very sleepy. Then I went to hairdresser’ｓ my mother’s friend runs with my mother at seven fifty. I had my hair set at the hairdresser’s. I was satisfied with my hairstyle. Next, she made dressing me. I dressed my mother’s long-sleeved kimono which she dressed when she was twenty. The kimono was orange and flower pattern. I liked the kimono, so I borrow it. After I finished all make, we went to grandparents’ house. I was took pictures with them. At eleven, ceremony started. I can meet a lot of people. I was very glad. I took pictures with my old friends. In the evening, alumni association was hold. I talked with friends and drunk. Then we went to karaoke. I had very fun. I like all friends in Amakusa!

Essay 2-03b: Enjoy My University Life

I enjoy my university life every day. I belong to eibei department at KGU. I study English every day. I have experienced a lot of things here for about two years since I entered this university. I can’t write all things, but I want you to tell them. So I will tell you them below this paragraph.

I liked English very much when I was high school student. So I entered this department in this university. Of course, I also like English very much now! I take classes which are involved in English every day. However, sometimes I skip a class. I like a class of understanding cross-cultural the best. The class is very useful for me. Teacher taught us religion, language, and meal in the world. I’m interested in them, so the class is interesting for me. I want to study cross-cultural more by myself. The most difficult class for me is the theory of human rights. I can’t understand the theory. I have to hand in a report a month. It is very hard, but I did my best every time. I will do my best all classes and I want to get all credits.

I belong to calligraphy club from freshman. My club is big club because there are about one hundred people. We do something every Wednesday. We went to the sea in Amakusa in summer vacation. I swam in the sea and played volleyball on the beach with my friends. In the evening, we had barbeque. They were delicious. I had very fun time. In winter, we went to Saishunkan, where there are very beautiful illuminations every year. My friend drove us there. Illuminations were shining and very beautiful! We also went to farm land in Aso. There are also beautiful illuminations. I like farm land better because we can enjoy a lot of illuminations which are shaped animals. We took a lot of photos there. I recommend you Aso farm land. We hardly do calligraphy. We mainly go out or drinking. In sports festival, we got third place. We were very glad. In school festival, we sold nikuman. They were good, so we also got third place in bazaar section in school festival. Now, generation changed, so president changed. I became club officer. I will enjoy my club.

I think that university life 25 years from now will be change a lot. Now, it is declining birth rate society. So a number of students in most university will be decrease. 25 years form now; I will be 45 years old. Perhaps, I have children. They will take all classes using internet. And perhaps, they can take all classes at their home without going to the university. So, maybe they need not have their stationary. I’m looking forward to the university life in the future. I want not to decrease students in the university. I don’t want to go to university 25 years from now because I think that there is no oral communication. I want my children to take communication by mouth with their friends.

My favorite place in KGU is bakery. There is a lot of bread in the bakery. I often go to the bakery at the lunch time. My favorite bread is chocolate bread. It is sweet, so I recommend you. You should eat it one time. I will go there today.

As you can see, I enjoy university life every day. I’m glad to have entered this university. I made a lot of friends in my department and my club. I study English every day. It is hard, but I like English. So I want to study English harder. I don’t have my dream in the future, but I want to take a job which involved in English. I will study hard, but I will enjoy club activities. I will do my best all university life.

My favorite music is J-pop. I listen to music when I go to go a part-time job and I go to bed and so on. I have a walkman which is a music player. I downloaded a lot of J-pop music. For example, Shota Shimizu, Kana Nishino, JUJU, FANKY MONKEY BABYS, and so on. I like songs of Shota Shimizu. He came to our university’s school festival. He is very cool and good at singing. I recommend his song to you. Recently, I’m interested in K-pop. KARA is very cute. I like them. Shojojidai is also Korean artist. They are pretty and good at singing! You should listen to K-pop. However, I like J-pop the best. Please tell me your favorite J-pop artisit.

My favorite sport is basketball. I had played basketball for nine years since elementary student. I was small, so my position was guard. Guard have to carry ball by dribbling and pass to other people. I'm not good at playing basketball, but I like basketball very much. In junior high school, I also belong to basketball club. My position was forward. I'm good at three points shot. So I practiced shot every day. In high school, my position was also forward. I didn't start member, but I like basketball very much. Then my grade were eight people. We were very good friends. We meet then in vacation. In this summer vacation, we played basketball in high school. We had very fun! I want to play basketball again.

There were Lisa and her bear, Corduroy. Lisa was going to go to hike with her classmates. She checked her backpack. She said “You have to stay here, Corduroy. You might get lost on a hike.” Corduroy thought I will not get lost. He crawled into the backpack. Corduroy also thought I will be safe in here. The bus had come. Lisa sat next to Susan. Susan asked her, “What did you bring?” Lisa was surprised because Corduroy was in her backpack! “You might get lost on a hike.” “Corduroy will be safe.” said Susan. Lisa hoped Susan was right. At the park Lisa and Susan found a stream. They dropped sticks into the water. The sticks came out the other side. “I see mine!” they cried. Then it was time to hike. Corduroy bounced along in the backpack. The class hiked higher and higher. Corduroy poked his head out and bounced out of the backpack. Corduroy was on to the trail.

Soon two hikers came by and picked up Corduroy. Then, Cub Scout walked. They picked up Corduroy and tossed him in the air. Corduroy landed on the side of the trail. Then Corduroy fell into the stream. Soon it began to dark. Lisa sat down and stared at her feet. Corduroy was gone. She had looked everywhere for him, Susan said “We were playing the stick game again. My sticks all came out on the other side.” Lisa nodded. “Something else came out on the other side, too.” said Susan. She handed Corduroy to Lisa. Lisa was very glad to back Corduroy.

I liked the words, “My sticks all came out on the other side.”(Alison, 2007, p.35) I feel relief that Corduroy found. I think Corduroy also felt relief that he came back to Lisa.
